This piece was composed in fall of 2009 and follows the journey of a saw leaving homes. All the electronic sounds are entirely derived from the saw and the "melodic" material the live saw plays is loosely compiled from the songs of the Violent Femmes and a Handel flute sonata. The piece has been programmed at EMM, Spark Festival, ICMC, and Seamus. It was premiered at a house concert put on by Doug Balliet and won the CAM (contemporary art month) award for "Best Art Piece with an Original Sound Component" at its subsequent performance in San Antonio. The work is in 3 movements starting with the 2nd movement:

II. Allegro (The Saw Explores the Big City but Quickly Gets Scared)
III. Adagio (The Saw Sleeps Alone in the Woods with a Fleeting Good Feeling)
IV. Bouree (The Saw Tries to Return Home but is Hopelessly Lost)
